“Love And All Her Friends” Post Show Update

Thanks to everyone who came out to 483 Gallery’s opening night exhibition, “Love And All Her Friends,” a Brendan Murphy collective. It was a busy day over at the gallery – and the show was a smash! For the opening, 483 Gallery expanded the show space for the event by opening the 800 square ft open air courtyard where we unveiled some of Brendan’s larger new works. The chalkboard piece entitled, “Figure It All Out” sold quickly, and even had a few bidders. The show featured over 25 works showcasing Brendan’s unique style and explored Love and her many friends – passion, desire, fear, wonder.

Brendan’s existing collector base made the trek across the bridge from Manhattan to join in the fun as Brooklyn locals flocked in from the street, delivering a diverse audience and energetic vibe. Bombay Sapphire turned the event out as usual, with a team of mixologists whipping up batch after batch of specialty cocktails at their full service bar and local Italian eatery Antica Pesa served as the perfect stomping grounds for those coming to and from the event.

As the night wore on, lovable pitbulls Dexter & Chunk made VIP guest appearances, engaging the crowd and attracting even more fans from the street. All and all, 483 Gallery’s opening, “Love And All Her Friends,” proved a success – with a party just as bright, whimsical, and unique as the work showcased.

Stay tuned for our next opening, which will be coinciding with the 2013 US Open.
