NY Based Painter Brendan Murphy Takes Up Seasonal Residency in Malibu’s Historic Eagle’s Watch

Malibu, CA – January 29, 2014 – Just in time to miss New York’s second polar vortex, Brooklyn based painter Brendan Murphy took up a seasonal winter residency in the hills of Malibu, California. His new west coast studio is located at Malibu’s historic Eagle’s Watch Villa, boasting panoramic views of the Pacific coastline and inspiring his work to go in a new direction. Designed by famous architect Harry Gesner, the villa serves as the perfect meeting space for new collaborations and connections.


In between painting , Brendan has been hosting a series of “think tank” discussions and dinners featuring guests such as Google’s Jim Young, Kevin Spacey, Will Ferrel, and Red Bull’sAndy Walshe.


Upcoming collaborations include Brendan’s “brain-mapping” at the Red Bull headquarters with SenseLabs.


In addition, Brendan has been invited to speak at Google headquarters in Mountain View, CA on February 26th, set for broadcast on March 5th.


March will include the much anticipated Desert Smash event in Palm Springs, CA. Brendan is currently finishing up paintings for Ana Ivanovic, Novak Djokovic, and Will Ferrel, which will be auctioned off at the March 4th event.
