After turning down multiple inquiries to purchase his massive flower painting, “Let’s Take a Walk” (12′ x 22′ oil, acrylic, and gouache on canvas), Brendan Murphy has finally realized his dream of placing this very special painting in a facility that benefits children.
Thanks to a connection by Purvi Shah of Kids & Art, “Let’s Take a Walk” now resides in the lobby of San Francisco non-profit, Family House. Family House provides cost-free housing to the families of children undergoing treatment for terminal disease at the nearby UCSF Children’s hospital.
In conjunction with the donation of the painting, Brendan Murphy is also helping to raise $150,00 for Kids & Art, his favorite non-profit program. Kids & Art is run by Purvi Shah, who tragically lost her son to cancer. Kids & Art runs arts workshops with children undergoing treatment for terminal diseases like cancer.
