Brendan Murphy Sculpture Purchased by Giorgio Armani

On September 20th in Milan, Italy, the Novak Djokovic Foundation held their gala event inside a gorgeous castle in the heart of the world’s fashion capital.

Artist Brendan Murphy submitted a concept sculpture which he designed and collaborated together with artisan Giorgio.

The very contemporary white marble concept piece helped raise $110,000 and sold to the famous Giorgio Armani and his daughter Roberta!

The sculpture was created in Carrara, Italy, which is also the home of the world’s most beautiful white marble and actually is the same quarry used by Michelangelo. The design is a very contemporary tennis like figure in the spirit of Novak Djokovic incorporating the white marble and also a smoked crystal tennis racket designed in the hills of Tuscany. The end result was a magical creation that was the highlight and centerpiece of a great event supporting the Novak Djokovic Foundation.
